In reply to LEE. You are correct, LEE. IN GOD WE TRUST was first used on paper money in 1957, when it appeared on the one-dollar silver certificate. The first paper currency bearing the motto entered circulation on October 1, 1957.

In reply to Antonio. Hi Antonio, I just saw one of those for sale in a coin shop for $140. It was not in the best of shape. It had a crease in one corner.

I have ONE 1934 $100 bill. It looks like regular circulation. I should have it graded but I doubt it’s worth much more than $100. It’s a curiousity to have. No In God We Trust on the reverse.
