Uncle Sams Nephew or USN? Sorry, I am not at liberty to disclose that...Aye Sir!

For taking good smartcam coin photos, Outdoors mid-day, slightly overcast removes sun reflection, pitch the coin up on slight angle...those shots had Liberty's head pitched up about a 1/2" from the table by the window. Move to find that non- glare shot...Steady yourself (a decaf morning helps)...zoom in no more than 2 or 3X, hold breath, snap. Take a couple shots.

Open the image and crop right to the edge you want. Beforehand, Make sure camera is set to "mega- pixels" and Deep Color saturation if you have it. Crop the shots, weld them together in WORD, save as gif or jpeg and sent it to Coin News to bitch about a coin that deserves to be better made every time. All in all, nothing to it.

Gotta go, my Yankee Doodle Sweetheart sez dinner's ready.

USN (does it really stand for Uncle Sam's Nephew OR US Navy?) ---
Thanks for your posting as it caused me to get out the magnifier on the 2 coins I just received. I'm sorry about the lack of crispness in the stripes of yours as my coins were impeccable. I even took a very close and critical look at Liberty's face as well as the Eagle on the Reverse. All were perfect.

Re the difficulty in prying the coin out of the black-fuzz holder, I was not a virgin. I've had that same difficulty for so many years I'm used to getting screwed. That said, the way I examine the coin is to pry it out the whole black-fuzz holder and pop out the coin spreading it apart and pushing its back side with my other fingers. While I will admit that it is not very convenient, it does positively hold the coin in place. Probably a good thing relative to the treatment it receives during shipping.

I haven't heard from Kaiser or SENSA of late but I'm certain they would provide both some insight as well some sartorial slander on the subject. Where are you guys?
--- Mike
PS Nice pics. I take loads of pictures very nicely but closeup photography, especially on reflective surfaces, takes some special skill. Good job.

It also depends on the strike, early strike compared to a later strike. Why the difference between a coin that's MS70 vs MS68.
