I don’t know, about $200,000 is nothing to be part of a “collection” of coins. Many of these and patterns were once part of larger collections which have since been broken up. If I had the money, I’d like to have collected sovereigns from 1953 to present, I don’t have the money to do that though and have a complete collection. Just collecting all the ASEs is a little challenge, even if only the uncirculated ones. I started with proofs, then the uncirculated ones, now am aiming for the different mint marks. P, S, W, burnished, reverse proofs. It’s a little like lions, tigers and bears. Oh my!
