Foreign mints do this all the time to help bolster interest and move product.

Also, maybe if Mint decided to lower prices instead of the inflated prices they are selling so many Eagles and Commemoratives buyers would purchase one or more? Price of silver going down and US Mint should lower their pricings on silver products. After all, the Mint stated increase in silver products price was for the big increase in silver market price. If Mint follows market then it needs to lower prices.

Do they get melted down again?
