I have most of my concert ticket stubs from the 70s. The 60s and 70s are the GOAT for sure. I just wish I remembered most of them. (Nature’s Weed and all) Some people say it sucks being old , but it sure was fun getting here. Some of us old rockers must of turned out to be OK. I mean look at some of us here now as numismatist.

The 1999-W Unfinished Proof Die Gold Eagles (PCGS, 2012). In 1999, the U.S. Mint made a drastic mistake by producing the first Mint State $5 and $10 Gold Eagles bearing a “W” mint mark. In 1999, only Proof Gold Eagles were intended to bear the “W” mint mark. This mistake has left us with a lot of puzzling unanswered questions about the production and existence of the 1999-W $5 and $10 Mint State coins. Sometime early in the year 2000, some of the first 1999-W Mint State Gold Eagles were discovered. The Mint did not provide any clues or give any indications as to how many of these coins were produced or why. It wasn’t until years later that the Mint would give a very important clue as to how many coins could have actually been produced. In 2005, a U.S. Mint spokesman issued a statement indicating that an estimated 6,000 Mint State Gold Eagles are produced from each pair of dies. If this was the case for the 1999-W Mint State Gold Eagles and only one pair of dies was used, a 6,000 production figure for each would not be unlikely. As of this writing, 11 years have passed and there has been no indication or supporting evidence that more than one pair of dies was used to produce this modern key issue. Therefore, if only one pair of dies was actually used and about 6,000 coins were made, this would make both coins very scarce in the Mint State Gold Eagle series.The (10/30/2021) PCGS Population Reports for the 1999-W $10 Unfinished Proof Die (UPD) = 2,765 and the 1999-W $5 UPD = 2,732; NGC Census for the 1999-W $10 UPD = 2,730 and the 1999-W $5 UPD = 3,260. Combining these totals for graded 1999-W UPDs yields: $10 = 5,495 and $5 = 5,992, or approximately 6,000 total coins graded for each denomination. In both the 1999 mistake and the 2021 mistake, the mistakes were supposedly never caught, otherwise the Mint would have halted production early before the die was to be changed out (after 6,000 strikes) or realizing the mistake they would not have allowed the coins to be released. So if the 1999 scenario is similar to the recent 2021 scenario, the 61 reported “discovery coins” should just be the tip of the iceberg.
“These discovery coins show how full of surprises our industry can be. While we eagerly await the details on how these coins came to be, the exciting discovery during a live Instagram auction highlights the adaptation of our hobby to social media and further underscores the rapid growth of the numismatic market over the past two years,” said PCGS President Stephanie Sabin. “We are proud to see more groundbreaking coins find permanent homes in PCGS holders, and there is still plenty of time left in 2021 for more breaking news from PCGS.”

I was surprised when reading that during the making of Highway to Hell the band was in Florida and struggling to raise air fare to return down under.

That Hells Bells was as much about the economic conditions Brian Johnson was facing as an unemployed 30 something in his home country before joining the Band, as well those other things.

And the band now openly admits Bon’s demise was at the hands of drug dealers although only because he was visiting lady friends in a bad part of town.

As a child I did not see him in concert as I feared it would be like looking into a mirror or occupying the same matter.

You “Coined” it again Kaiser – This is Top-Down Fraud on a huge scale – planned right down to paying off the employee producing these coins at the Mint and so bold of all the PCGS flunkies putting their names out here = arrogance and criminality have few boundaries these days.

Kinda makes me wonder what they are putting in our food but certainly doesn’t make we wonder why sleepy Joe would scrap Free Tuition for Americans while offering it with Federal Money to 650,000 illegals who apparently are here by “no fault of their own” and it’s all “better than expected”.
