The magnitude and timing of these sales reductions is baffling. Perhaps the time period between the presale dates of May 24 (privies) & August 3 (S, D mint mark)/August 10 (P mints) and the release/fulfillment dates in October-November was too long (i.e., 3-5 months). The Mint probably made the presale time frame too long because they were afraid of the virus, the silver shortage and strong demand. Just guessing…
