Comments on: 2021 D&S Morgan Silver Dollars Launch

I believe these 2021 Morgan silver dollars are in the same category as the GSA hoard of CC dollars from the 1970’s & early 1980’s. The 2021 Morgan silver dollars and the vast majority of the GSA Hoard of Carson City silver dollars are uncirculated coins, and the GSA Hoard CC dollars are $400 per coin, or more, depending on date and level of uncirculated condition. The GSA 1882, 1883, and 1884 coins have asking prices of $400 or more for MS63 coins, and each of these three coins had 600,000 or more coins contained in the GSA Hoard. The 1881 and 1885 CC coins in the GSA Hoard had 147,000+ and 148,000+ coins in the GSA Hoard, and as you might imagine, they are even more expensive than the previous three coins mentioned. The number of GSA coins for the 1881CC and 1885CC coins is comparable to the mintage of the 2021 Morgan silver dollars. All of the 2021 Morgan silver dollars are in uncirculated condition, with each variation of these dollars only having a mintage of 175,000 coins; and the vast majority of these coins are grading either MS69 or MS70 by NGC and PCGS. In my opinion, the 2021 Morgan silver dollars should be $400-$600 coins, perhaps more, just like the GSA Hoard coins.

With all due respect to Mike P, fasten your seat belt when you open the boxes on these beauties. They are far more pristine than I could ever have wished for … showing details on the coin I never knew existed.

You might be interested in my other posting on it, but you’ll probably have to do a search for it at the top of this site using “Morgan Shipment” as the search parameter. Then look for the last entries of the later 2 results you will get.
