2021 Morgan Silver Dollars with CC and O Privy Marks Launch

316

Two different products celebrating a coin last issued a century ago are available for pre-ordering today from the United States Mint. Beginning at Noon (EDT), consumers may pre-order the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar with a CC (Carson City) Privy Mark and the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar with an O (New Orleans) Privy Mark. Both honor the last issuance of the Morgan dollar in 1921.

Designs for the new coins were regenerated using multiple historical U.S. Mint assets to include original plasters, galvanos and actual tooling. Each, which features an uncirculated finish, is priced at $85 and limited to sales of 175,000. Buyers can only order 10 per. Another note of interest, 10% are already reserved for participants of the Mint’s Authorized Bulk Purchase Program (ABPP) who will pay a premium of 5% for each coin, plus shipping.

Given the above factors coupled with pent-up demand, the pair of coins will sell out exceedingly quick with many collectors experiencing extreme frustration with the inability to buy even one.

These dollars are authorized under Public Law 116-286, the 1921 Silver Dollar Coin Anniversary Act. As part of that Act to commemorate the 100th anniversary switchover from Morgan to Peace dollars, these two along with another three 2021 Morgan dollars will be issued this year. There is also a 2021 Peace dollar on the horizon. (Learn more about the six 2021 silver dollars.)

2021 Morgan Dollar Designs and Specifications

Congress mandated that the designs of the 2021 dollars be renditions of their historical counterparts. The original issues were produced from 1878 to 1904, and then again in 1921. Designs for the coin were completed by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan, from which they take their nickname. They are said to express the country’s westward expansion and industrial development in the late 19th century.

Appearing on the obverse (heads side) of each is a profile portrait of Lady Liberty. A cap, flora, and a crown incused with the word "LIBERTY" adorn her head. Thirteen stars, "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the date of issuance encircle her.

Pre-ordering and Shipping

Beginning at noon, the dollars may be pre-ordered directly from the U.S. Mint at 2021 ‘CC Morgan Silver Dollar and 2021’O’ Morgan Silver Dollar. The dollars will not ship until October.

Each arrives within a United States Mint black box, with an outer sleeve adorned with an image of the coin obverse and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Of note, the U.S. Mint will verify credit card information when pre-ordering products but cards will not be charged until products ship. To prevent order cancellations for later shipping products, always keep credit card information on account with the Mint current.

I love how this article pre-emptively calls out that people will be annoyed at not being able to get one.

I didn’t realise until now that these weren’t even a proof finish. That’s pretty lousy

Chris

@Daniel, It would have been nice if they offered a proof version of these, along with the uncirculated versions, but if this turns into an ongoing series, expect to see proof version in subsequent years.

OmahaJoe

Remove the mintage limits and let everyone who wants one get one. If the Mint is taking preorders why have a limit?

Ray

Got my 10 CCs, I’m happy

Mike

How much will they be worth with a 69 or 70 grade

Mark D.

Give it back! I won’t rest until you return it!

Mark D.

Here’s a Joe Cocker quote I wish I thought of earlier:

“You can leave your hat on…”

Big T

Because then there will not be as much value to owning one… that is numismatics.

Scott Dowling

That’s right I vote for that

Gary Paulson

It was the same disappointment for me! Pathetic isn’t it?!

Mark D.

It’s like the Hunger Games, only the well-connected and a precious few token plebs get a coin to eat.

Mark D.

GIB!

Big T

Well said!! Also, while it is annoying when you can’t make it work, it is nice when you get one and realizing that it is already in absolute rarity just because the demand is so high. At least the limit went down from 25 to 10 – I was one that called in about that.

sam tweedy

Welcome to the latest U S MINT “CIRCUS” HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!!!! Then wait till October!!!!! What a “DEAL” for you!!!!!

sam tweedy

BAD GETAWAY BAD GETAWAY BAD GETAWAY YIKES NO MORE “FAKE” CC’S CC’S CC’S CC’S CC’S!!!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL !!!!!

Mark D.

GIB!

Billy J Oliver

Another screw up at US Mint site. Will they every hire someone who know how to run a shopping site.

Cornerss

This is true . They sell out regardless of the complaints . They are acting no different than sports card maker Panini. They make cards with reduced print runs , making them Harder to get and in turn more valuable. People trying to buy boxes of sports cards have the same exact gripes . Bad websites , low product count , speculators and box breakers

bud

Mint server down. Why am I not surprised.

Dave Ryan

Logged in before noon, had one of each in my cart – checked out and CRASH.
5 times – now I’m locked out. Thanks US Mint – you guys suck

Big T

Just keep trying – persistence pays off

B. Wilson

Same thing happened to me. 🙁

C. Greer

And me. Had them in the cart, card selected, reviewed and then clicked to finish…CRASH! Bet Mike Mezack got his and will be hawking them like Band-Aids at a train wreck. Oh I stumbled upon that—“train wreck” describes the Mint perfectly. Hard to justify the high prices any longer and artificial rarity. A mintage of175,000 isn’t rare in my mind when the quality will be MS69 or MS70 for everyone of them. Just because I won’t have one doesn’t mean my collection isn’t worth as much to me and my kids either. I think I am going to concentrate on… Read more »

Joe

Bet the Coin Vault got their coins also.

Mark D.

Just don’t say that 3 times while facing a mirror or you know who will appear!

Mark D.

Lots of pre-sellers offering bullion versions for July delivery now. A PCGS MS70 “FS” goes for around $60.

Rick B

Just wanted 1 of each but, somehow managed to order 5 for cc privy mark. Don’t know how but I guess I’m lucky.

domenic

you prob did what i did with timeouts….i kept hitting preorder and nothing happened then all of a sudden i had 3 CC in basket….i removed 2….finally ……then was able to add the O

Rick B

Probably what happened. I was scared to delete anything for fear that I would lose my spot in the line. Will find someone to trade with to get the o privy mark as well.

Keith Cleaver

I supposedly have 6 O’s coming, only wanted 3 but didn’t want to chance removing 3 from my cart. May be able to help each other?

Dominic Camarillo

Same exact thing happened to me. Didn’t want to chance removing them it so I just bought them.

Bob

Me too, I ended up with 6 CCs in my cart but rather than risk trying to reduce it to the 2 I wanted just ordered them (on about the fifth try). Got a couple of O’s too. Nice to actually get these after last year’s debacle on the American Eagle WWII 75th privy proofs when I had them in the cart but could never check out until the stock ran out.

Peter L. Gordon

Got in right at 9 am (PT) and got one of each in my cart, but when trying to pay, got the bad gateway message about 10 times. After numerous refreshes, I was finally able to secure 1 of each Morgan at 9:12 am (PT). When I checked my email I see the mint sent me two different confirmations for the coins with different order numbers. Only got one confirmation on the website, so I might have gotten two of each coin without trying.

Tom

Congrats… u have a great flip there

Peter L. Gordon

At 9:23 am (PT) the cc privy mark coin is listed as unavailable. The o privy mark coin is still listed as available.

Last edited 2 years ago by Peter L. Gordon
Dav

2 minutes later O is now also unavailable.

sam tweedy

Nice they still have the “FAKE” “O” “O” “O””O” HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!!!!

David Todd

Nothing is fake about “privy” they were clear about that – perhaps you dont know what “privy” means or perhaps you have other issues?

Big T

sour grapes is what I suspect…

jwp

I finally got my order acknowledgement from the mint at 11:18. I do not know how many I really ordered – I think I got 10 cc’s and 2 – O’s. I just wanted 2 each., some how i may have gotten more than I really wanted . Oh well, I’ll jut return any I don’t want.

Bubba

You can sell them for a lot more since they sold out in a few minutes.

Chas. Barber

i’D SELL now, THEY ARE AT THE TOP VALUE NOW, based on histroy it’s all downhill from here….. I bought a few PCGS 64 for $55 each instead…..locked out, crashed out, BS”d out…HH should be 5 on day one. But, that’s so obvious the Mint has no clue, they just want a sell out ASAP

Patrick Geraghty

I was able to finally pre-order a CC Morgan after 20 minutes. It took me switching to using a different card to get it to work. I kept trying with my card that was saved on fie with the mint. When I switched to my Discover card it went through first try. Hope everyone has success today.

Ray

That’s a little trick with the Mint, never use your stored credit card if it’s something like this. It might go thru, but it will take repeated attempts

David Todd

Me too – I ended up getting it on my phone usmint app – gave up on my computer. Congrats! at the end of the day 175,000 isn’t a bad mintage

Peter L. Gordon

At 9:24, the o privy mark coin is now unavailable. Not as quick as expected, but certainly well earlier than the 2 week pre order window.

Well……… after 20 minutes of bad gateways back n forth into site…i FINALLY secured 1 of each…. one of the few times i ended up a happy camper. The website will never be able to handle the intial rush…its just a fact…..a frustrating fact.

Bruce Telfeyan

It is 12:20 EDT on May 24th and the CC privy mark dollar appears to be fully ordered. I was able to reserve an O privy mark dollar a few minutes earlier.

bud

Put them in bag. Checkout said bad gateway. Than remove product from bag no longer available

Big T

Luckily, after several attempts I was able to purchase both CC and O coins, a few of each, so it can be done!!

Big T

the only issue was I had to order it as a guest, I could not get my log in to work. That said, it still managed to work and I do have the confirmation numbers. Looks like most of us were able to make it happen with a little bit of patience. I think the Peace will be the toughest one to get… I am looking for that one to go with my 21 VAM 1C MS64 PL peace dollar

Bob

I logged in before noon. Might want to try that trick next time. Agree that the Peace, with only the single coin available, is going to be the toughest one to get.

Big T

I was originally logged in, but when it went live it somehow wanted me to log back in… just because I had to reset the browser. So… I may call them and have them link the order to my account.

Gary Colon

amazing!!!! not available @ 175,000 Dealers laughing at all of us.

Zac

I waited all morning to purchase one of each coin. The US Mint website crashed at 12 noon on the dot. US Mint phones were all busy. I was FINALLY able to add the coins to my shopping cart. then the website said PRODUCT UNAVAILABLE. This is such a crock of shit. Do better, US Mint. Terrible.

Edward Ermey

Happens every time, and on que, no live chat or customer service the second a limited release is live. I am thinking they are serving the dealers over the individual customer. 175,000 is a lot more than the V privy’s of last year.
And yet gone in minutes. Something really stinks at the Mint.
This is the 3rd year in a row for this problem, you would have thought they would have fixed this problem by now. It looks like they have no intention of fixing that problem.

Gary Paulson

I feel your pain! Literally!

Steve

Well I’m not a happy camper, i got 0, a big fat nothing. And the greedy dealers got 17,500. And they probably got more today. Oh ya buy letting the dealers get in first the website will be able to handle the traffic. Isn’t that what they said. People getting 10, it’s crazy.

Bob

I’m not a dealer and got a few.

Steve

good for you

Chas. Barber

I’m NOT a dealer & got none, I didn’t even try this X. Such continued insanity. – I got the Pd Proof in ’17, the ENhanced ASE (somehow) but nothing else of amy real value since V75, etc. I really don’t care anymore, the mint killed this sucker…uh I mean customer

sam tweedy

Don’t worry Mike Mezack and all his Dealer buddies got theirs. His already went to ANACS what a “JOKE” just like ANACS. Understand!!!

Edward Ermey

Seems like the mint caters to the dealers.
I busted my but trying to get one of each and only got 1 “O”
This is the 3rd year of the mint screwing individual buyers.
Seems like the mint has no intention of fixing their online ordering problem.
Same thing every limited release.

Gary Paulson

Don’t buy a damned single one of them! I won’t!

Chas. Barber

REVERAND!!

Amit A Patel

They need to handle coin releases like they handle sneaker releases. Add everyone who wants one to a list and then do a random lottery.

phil

Bad Gateway 5 times. Then no longer available when I finally got to payment

Gary Colon

Here you go Mike Mezack..I know you will gladly sell your stash at 3 to 5 times now. Way to go US Mint keep your reputation of running lottery.

Lev

F**k you, US Mint. If you actually have a job and responsibilities, meaning that you cannot sit around refreshing your screen at the precise moment in the middle of the workday, you cannot be a collector anymore.

Big T

Or it means you have to make other arrangements – I have several fellow collectors that helped others and it worked out. Your comment is just silly. I understand it is frustrating but come on.

Chas. Barber

Big T the Mint sucks. SOrry, I’ve been at this for decades & decades. Other arrangements, kie renting a CRAY Supercomputer, washing to lipstick from Mezak off Ryder’s tidy whities…..I passed cause I don’t need this NO BODY NEEDS THESE COINS, buy some originals slabbed 64’s cost about the same or less….privy my arse

Mark D.

If this image is about conservation, there needs to be a space between “use” and “less”.

Mark D.

Hmmm ..

Meaning, “against the front of a boat and a country”?

Edward Ermey

And as usual sold out in minutes.
I had both in the bag and timed out on me on processing order.
Tried 2 more times and CC was gone but got an O privy.

Kirk

I was able to order two of each. Got my confirmation email too.

silverinvestor

is it worth $85 ? and eBay selling at $200 + ? is it crazy. but compare the 2021 US Imperf stamp , it is not really nothing, a pane of 20 stamps only cost $11 , and Star war Droids sell for $150+ , that is 13x . what the profits $$$

Big T

I think you answered your own question – it is not worth it to you.

Brian

I was logged in before noon. PreOrder button for New Orleans never worked right for me. After many bad gateway errors… finally got CC added… but then at check out… all was unavailable. I only had 1 coin (could not even get New Orleans added) and could not buy 1.
I have collected since a child (I don’t have many coins… last one was Apollo and before that I think Statue of Liberty). I did it for enjoyment not investment as these rarely are an investment.
Regardless.. the joy is about gone. I am about done with the US Mint.

silverinvestor

I am same collecting coin when I was student, beware some coin start cloud or milk spots.

Slypig

I got the same “bad gateway” messages, but just kept logging back in, was able to get 2 CC’s and 2 O’s, the log back in and get two more CC’s before all were unavailable. Frustrating, but at least non-dealers had some access to the products.

Big T

exactly!

Daniel

I too had success. Seemed comparatively easy to other limited release issues. (Though, there was a much greater volume than, for example, the 2019-S ASE).
Yes there was crashing, timeouts, cloudfare messages, and general disaster at checkout, but I was eventually able to secure coins. Judging by comments here, others had similar success.
I wonder how this will effect secondary markets.

$85 + $18 (International delivery) x 1.1 (duty) = $102 per coin for me. Worth it.

Now to just sit back and wait 5 months whilst the mint hangs on to my cash.

kevinh

I don’t think they hold the money until shipping, just make a hit on the account. Also I saw a in stock date of June 13 on the screen, so we may not be waiting until October.

Rich

I also briefly saw an in stock date of June 13 on the screen at checkout and wondered about it since, as directly copied and pasted from the Mint’s 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars page, “Coins will be shipped in October or November 2021.”

Scott Dowling

That was a joke tryed and tryed now if You want one you have to pay ten times what they are worth what a joke

Paul Asmussen

the us mint suck every time you try to order from the mint you can never get through. But you let ALL THE SHOPPING CHANNEL GET TO PLACE THERE ORDER What Pre Sale are you talking about ??????? . You know if your on your mail list or e mail list you should automatic put us in line so we can order you Morgan Dollars . I don’t understand why they allowed collectors a limit of 10. They should should limit it to 1 or 2 for a day to let as many people as possible to get one. Letting certain buyers get 10% of the mintage before everyone else isn’t fair. They are laughing all the way to the bank while normal collectors are praying they can check out while coins are still available. It isn’t enough to have it in your cart. They should let people buy what is in their carts and release them only after a certain time. This is a well… Read more »

Carl

I had one in the basket but couldn’t complete checkout before sold out so not surprised since I‘ve been down that road before. Won’t over pay so will never get any of these. Not sure I care especially if these are an annual offering.

Mike Hunt

Carl —
I got several similar notes and then finally, after giving my final confirmation for just one coin, got a response to remove it from my shopping basket as it was sold out.
Totally frustrated, I logged out and went back to my eMail. AND GUESS WHAT? There was a note from the Mint that an order (which one though as I had several) had been accepted! But I have no idea whether it was for 1 or 2 coins or which ones.
Know how to keep a Turkey in suspense? I’ll tell you later.
— Mike

Big T

“annual offering”? These will be one time – 1921 is the only year where both coins were minted (last for Morgan and first for Peace) and that is the reason for this commemorative anniversary special.

Chas. Barber

Check the press releases, the Mint & Ryder have said this is authorized for a multi year issue, & they ain’t leaving $ on the table. This is the start of a new series amigo. The Mint will skrew you every way they can…. THere are likely more coming, in like a 6 coin set for $600….

Mike Hunt

Carl —
Turns out they confirmed me purchasing 2 “CC Privy” dollars when I really only wanted one. I’ll keep the second for bartering for one I will probably miss out on next week. And since my daughter bought me one of the “O” coins for my birthday, I have the whole set … for now.
But go figure …
— Mike

Bern

Got lucky, I think? Got 10 of each. Didn’t want those amounts but figured I could use the doubles to do what I would really like to accomplish. Which is to make a few sets of the six different coins.

GaryD

Was only able to get the CC, tried to get the O but when putting it in the bag (it said available) the order button wasn’t active, when it did start working the O became unavailable. Will still try to get it It possible.

Steve

Already listed on Ebay at double the price. I decided not to partake in this latest mint disaster.

jwp

try 300 – 500 when I checked Ebay.

Big T

I think they will go down… at least for ungraded coins

Gary Paulson

I tried since the beginning, 9am! Couldn’t get through and the Morgan silver dollar Cc and O sold out in 15 minutes! What an utter disappointment!! If it’s gonna go like this I give up! Gary Paulson

Gary Paulson

This honestly ruined my day! I was waiting for a long time for this! A slap in the face right along with the Pandemic aye?! I’m beginning to think that sticking to stacking and Half Penny Ships and such is the way to go! The U.S.Mint just ruins the fun for people!

silverinvestor

Good Bye. US Mint. Did everyone remember 1986 Statue Of Liberty silver dollar coin, some people get it over $100 after sold out from the mint. Today how much did it worth , everyone can see. is it worth to collect coins.

james

i do not get it as well 12 pm eastern time no coins was put up for sale it seams that all these coins was pre sold, i got ask why on earth offer a coin that ment never had any intention to put up for plubic sale, it was same for gold war coin and many others i never got no remider on my ph that coins was even up for sale
and i frankly tired of this, mint had no right to sell coins befor date it was set to be release,

kevinh

These were available for about 20 minutes. A lot of people had success, although with quite a bit of frustration. They were a pre sale item which is why the order button said that instead of “add to bag”

Tim

The coins weren’t presold, I got 10 of each. Just because you did not get any does not mean they weren’t offered to the public. Unfortunately you have to be a lot faster when checking out now.

Mark D.

Check your facts comrade.

Tim

The fact is I ordered 10 of each coin with no bot, on a regular PC and I am an individual consumer, not a dealer. Maybe accept personal responsibility that you weren’t prepared or fast enough to buy these coins instead of blaming that failure on someone else.

Mark D.

Fact is, the mint PRESOLD thousands to a small group of dealers Fact is, one should be conversant in Mint news to avoid making ignorant statements Fact is, this numismatist didn’t logon, didn’t order, didn’t wait, didn’t get frustrated, didn’t pay 4x the value of Ag, didn’t whine or complain Fact is, this numismatist DID purchase a CC Morgan for the price of less than two privy-marked mint offerings, it’s a very pretty GSA Morgan, NGC certified with original box and COA… A genuine classic Fact is, you’re a classic too, the middle part at least, but I’m confident you… Read more »

I tried to order the new Morgan Dollars today. I only wanted to order 1 but I kept on getting error messages from the site (probably because it was overloaded) until it was too late and the coins were sold out. They really should limit orders to one coin per person on the first day and then raise the limit on the second day if coins are still available. As it was, all of the coins seem to have gone to people who ordered the full quota of 10 or each privy mark (20 total). Those are probably people who… Read more »

Steve

Dave, I totally agree. What collector needs 10 coins of each. That only takes away from you and i getting one. Many people are planning on putting multiple sets together and selling for stupid money. Should be for collectors that want to add to their collection not make a paycheck. I just don’t understand why it was set at 10. And a couple weeks ago the limit was 25. They were talked down to 10, why not 1 for the first day. I guess i don’t have a fast enough internet connection to even get one.

HOWARD COHEN

hi – i agree that no collector really “needs” 10 of anything…HOWEVER….because of the QUALITY (or should i say lack thereof….) of the mint’s recent releases…i’ve been given to buying multiples of each of the coins / sets i want…hoping to receive at least one “problem free” and/or coin….i’ve been buying from the mint for some 50 years….and whist the MANUFACTURING procedures seem to have improved….the QUALITY has greatly declined….personally, i do not understand the the hoopla over super-cameo coins…to me…compared to the late 70’s…the look just plain washed out….with very little detail…point is….i try to buy multiples because the… Read more »

We can blame the US Mint forever, The REAL culprit is US Congress after all, they establish/bless the ISSUES and SPOILER ALERT! THE MINTAGES!

Steve

Did congress allow the dealers 10%, 17,500. That’s just so hard to believe. They probably have them at the grading company already and make everyone else wait for months!

Chas. Barber

Ryder sets the sales HH limits. He would make it 100 if it would make a quick CU/SO … He cares for collector$ like a female black widow cares for the males…

Stephen Pardee

To be expected.

Larry Tew

I had 6 morgans in my bag and even checked out and confirmed order and was kicked out. Pathetic. will not order from the mint again.

Gary Colon

With the present state of affairs, anything “Collectible” Is always subject to “flippers” that have no desire or interest in the plight of those who are not into collecting…its the modern day “GOLD RUSH” or even “TULIP BULBS” frenzy. I personally know dealers in “TOYS” and “ART AUCTIONS” who says there are no moral compass or guidelines at all.

Tony Allotta

All of you people who put out stories on the U.S. mint always forget to mention that they make a deal with all of the shysters out in the coin world to make sure they all get their orders so they can rip off all of us people who give our allegiance to the Mint all year long and then to get screwed over by them so the late night shysters can charge us up the ass for the same coins we aren’t able to order from the Mint. I saw this same crap for the Anniversary 2011 25th Anniversary ASE, the 2016 Centennial Gold – Dime, Standing and Walking Liberty Gold Series, 2017 Palladium Dollar, the list goes on… The bottom line is this…THE US MINT DOESN’T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT JOE COLLECTOR. They care about the bottom line…make and sell coins. My advice and solution is just sit back and watch. I enjoy the end of the Iliad, especially when Troy is sacked.

Mark D.

Only Cassandra knows for certain, but I tend not to believe her for some reason.

What a joke. Got on roughly an hour after the sale hit and they’re gone already. just wanted to get a gift for my dad 1 of each. the mint is just another government failure at this point.

Big T

So you’re an hour late to order a high demand coin and somehow this is a government failure…..? sigh
I was there on time and – despite some delays and inconvenience of retyping my information – I did manage to get a few of each coin. You could have too.

James

Sold out in 20 minutes. the website crashing and the product limit of 10 instead of 1 or 2. yeah it’s a massive failure. lots of people missed out on this. and it happens every time there’s a big sale and the government does nothing to fix the problem. There’s still a ton of demand and as of now no more supply is available. After repeatedly being kicked out of ordering (‘Bad Gateway,’ anyone?), at 12:23 my order for 5 of the ‘CC’ Morgans went through…but somehow the figure turned into 10. So while I am out $425 for the cost of five extra coins, hopefully I can find another collector who has an extra ‘O’ Morgen to trade.

My heart goes out to the collectors who weren’t able to score any of the Morgans before they became ‘Currently Unavailable.’

Ken

I got two O’s will trade one for a CC.

Had it went to check out and there were none go figure the mint should at least make enough for those that want them like a couple million maybe

Scott Dowling

All l wanted was one of each don’t need ten

Scott Dowling

Need to make them for everyone not for the dealers

As with every other coin release this was no different. Website crashes and a lot of disappointed collectors. I managed to get one of each, although I’ve not received an email confirmation. I do show under my order history once I was able to access it that the order shows as processing. Like others I think the US mint should limit sales to one per customer on the first day. After that open it up to whatever number they deem appropriate. They certainly know this type of thing is bound to happen because of the high demand. Of course I… Read more »

I had to place two separate orders for one of each coin to go through. I got a received order email on both, and then a confirmation email within an hour. Hopefully those that ordered only one of each will be processed more quickly than orders of ten. Good luck everyone.

The funniest thing is to google the youtube video of how to say ‘butterfly’ in seven languages…. it is HILLARIOUS. It’s a beautiful word in nearly all languages, except one… guess which one?

Big T

then you haven’t seen the video – google it!
I lived in DE (not Delaware, Germany) for many years but found it hard to use my high school Spanish in any meaningful way, and German… words are too long and not enough well-placed vowels…

Interested in a 1914-A German States, Prussia, silver 3 Marks KM.538, VF, for $25?

Mark D.

Also know where there’s an 1861-B Austrian Franz Joseph I silver thaler, KM. 2244, fine+, at $35.

Mark D.

Not sure what any of that means, but I’m frightened… Check “Yesterday’s Change,” site’s front page… Gulp.

Even before I saw the adorable Mr. Banner, my response was to be thus:

Apologies Comrade, I learned my prejudice from Klink’s reaction to, “Gennn-errr-all Bull-carrr-terrr!” (Klemperer Jr. had the elongated sing-song stacatto thing perfected, much to the chagrin of Sr.).

Are you familiar with the, “garlic and onions,” fable?

Probably was that “Michael” poser.

Waitaminute… Are you just trying to lengthen this thread to 400?

Going for 500 — THAT’S why you’re re-interested in this thread (now at 486 comments)!

Wow! Very stylish. Practical too, since I suspect one could use it to snag a mailbag when speeding past railway stations.

Let me add my two cents, for what it is (now) worth: What a Mint Farce yesterday (sounds like an exotic drink they specialize in serving up) especially after they mailed and emailed so much hype/propaganda to me. If I really want these coins I should probably just consider ebay, and pay the upcharge of 200-300%. I was booted in the middle of my order, then couldn’t get through, and finally received the pleasant message that they were no longer available. I agree that for the first 24 hours the Mint should allow one coin purchase only per person. It’s… Read more »

It could have been a one coin limit and they still would have sold out within 30 min and you would have had the same issues. How do I know? Because this happened for the 2021W ASE and several 2020 coins with one coin limit. I was happy they reduced it from 25 but frankly it wouldn’t have helped much more to go to one coin – although I do agree with you. Some folks like to get a few for their grandkids or whatever, but 3 or 5 should have been the limit, if not one. Again, would not… Read more »

WRONG grasshopper there were ZERO LIMITS on the 2021 ASE Proofs, ZERO…..2020 what the V75’s with tiny mintages. Pure logic says HH limit of 1 = greater distribution of hte coins & longer time to SELL OUT, without ocnsidering megabots & Ryder’s base having an inside position…..BTW I”ve been doing this for decades, the Mint is so F’d up on this it’s a joke, it is INSANITY over & over & to expect a different result, I got he Pd 2017, I got the 2011 ASE sets, I got Botanical Garden sets, I got he JFK/RFK sets, the past to… Read more »

You are right, but there was a limit on some S mints and also the V75 had a limit of one (and sold out in minutes). So, from that I stick by my point it wouldn’t have mattered…. Rarely limits on W mints but also ‘usually’ not low mintage either. I recall when the S proofs were more limited than the W proofs but this is no longer a true correlation since W started making some of the limited release eagles. But you are correct about the 2021 W – which sold out very quickly. I still don’t think it… Read more »

You mentioned that you haven’t received a confirmation email and shows as processing. I thought I was fortunate to and was able to get one of each. Same thing no email but showed processing. To this day I still haven’t received an email and doesn’t show in my history. Was wondering if you did get final confirmation?
