Late September for the delivery of the "Kids Set" (since when is 1 coin a set??!! LOL) is simply unacceptable! The Mint usually starts striking the next year's commemorative coins in December of the previous year so they are ready to offer in January or February. The San Francisco Mint wasn't temporarily closed till March for a short time. U.S. Mint Director David J. Ryder can't get his act together & his S.S. Mint ship is sinking fast! Sad! (As Trump says...).

Just got one of each of the six basketball coins in stock today. Sadly, every single one had a mark at 10x that would make them MS69 or PR69 or worse. The matte surfaces on the concave side seemed the most likely place. The silver proof fields also showed some discoloration.

I think the design works somehow in real life and it was a bummer to ship the whole set of coins back.

LOL. And it would be hard, if not impossible, for the large basketball on the reverse to fit through that rim!
And that webbing on the obverse design looks a little like chicken wire!
