Gold, Silver and Platinum Soar in May; US Mint Bullion Sales...
Precious metals prices climbed higher Friday, padding their monthly gains, although platinum and palladium did fall from their week ago levels. Silver finished at its best price in more than three-months while gold closed at a one-and-a-half-month high.

US Mint Sales: Weir Farm Quarters and 5 Oz Coin Debut
The United States Mint released seven products last week recognizing Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut. The U.S. Mint's latest sales stats show how well they performed in the early going.
Released a week ago Monday, May 18, the Weir Farm quarter is the second of five issues for 2020. New products include rolls and bags of quarters from Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco with mint marks of 'P', 'D' and 'S'. The number sold through Sunday combined to 1,902,660 quarters, which is near the top when compared against early starts of other recent quarters [...]

ACEF: Counterfeiting Battles Continued in May
A fraudulent advertisement for bullion coins on Facebook, fake encapsulation holders and requests for expert help from federal agencies kept the nonprofit Anti-Counterfeiting Educational Foundation (www.ACEFonline.org) busy during May 2020.
"Among the cases we're investigating is the sale of ten fake one-ounce silver American Eagles. They were unsuspectingly purchased by someone who responded to an advertisement that popped up while he was checking his Facebook account. Gold Declines on Week While Silver, Platinum and Palladium Soar
Precious metals bounced Friday from their significant losses on Thursday, aside from palladium which sank for a second day but rallied overall on the week. Silver and platinum also jumped on the week. Gold, however, registered a weekly decline.
