Yep, it was only listed in the email notice from the Mint. Even their chat line reps didn’t know there was a 500 limit per coin. I was able to get one of each.

When a BEP official was asked how many of this exclusive intaglio print was available, they had the Mint send out a email on first day of issue later in the day stating that there was a limit of 1,000 of these prints with 500 reserved for each of the two sets offered.

Where and when did the mint state there were only 500 for each set of the prints/coins available? It appeared that the limit was going to be limited to the maximum number of coins i.e. 50k gold 400k silver. So, as the article cites there could still be around 8,000 gold sets (prints/coins) that could be sold. It is interesting too that the gold $5 proof is now on back order for the first time in months if only 500 more would sell. As I posted before I thought that this set might result in a sell out of the $5 gold coins Thank you for your input.

Your article incorrectly states there are no product limits on these two sets – Mint officials confirmed today that there are only 1,000 of these exclusive BEP intaglio prints available (500 for each set).

Glad I ordered the silver coin & intaglio print at high noon!

Fortunately for me I purchase the gold and the silver back in January when they first came out. Only thing I missed out on was the Kennedy Prints.
