This article presents photos of a 2019 Native American $1 Coin and Currency Set with its enhanced uncirculated 2019 Native American $1 Coin and its Series 2017 $1 Federal Reserve note bearing a "1959" beginning serial number.
The 50,000 limited-edition product by the United States Mint and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing went on sale Wednesday, July 24, for $15.95.
21,761 sets sold in the first day when orders were limited to two sets per household.
Native American $1 Coins feature annually changing reverses. This year’s reverse highlights the contributions of Native Americans to the U.S. Space Program, depicting engineer Mary Golda Ross working on aerospace calculations with an Atlas-Agena rocket in the background and an astronaut spacewalking above. Emily Damstra created the design and Joseph Menna sculpted it.
Since the series start in 2009, all Native American $1 Coins have shared Glenna Goodacre’s depiction of Sacagawea carrying her infant son, Jean Baptiste.
Edges of the dollars have also been constant, showing their year of minting, a mint mark, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
Every set’s note has a "1959" beginning serial number which correspond to the launch year of the Agena spacecraft that is depicted on the companion coin.

I have a feeling this may be another set like the rocket ship set. It has a unique finish like the way the Kennedy had the proof like finish.

Picked up a few for the kids & NASA Fans,. These sets are nice, but really a show of ineptitude for the missing # years of sets. Nevertheless, A good value from you U S Mint!

I ordered two. However, I will not say that this is an affordable and beautiful set, like others have, before I actually have them in hand. There are many reasons that this set may have not sold out. I can thing of many, other than time away for holiday. Budget is an important factor to consider. Some may have purchased the fifty dollar set, some may have spent enough on the two nations set, while others may be waiting to purchase the palladium coin. Many are arriving with note canted in holder,packaging error…
I guess I should be ready to send my sets back, after they arrive. Hopefully, I won’t have to.
My set came today, I am thinking of sending mine back the one-dollar note is not in its sleave properly. Looks bad.
I received a set and the bill is shifted about 3/8 inch inside the holder. No way to straighten it without damaging the packaging. I requested a return lable. Hope the next one is better, I really do like the set though.
Opened my 2 sets today, both $1.00 bills were 3/4″ to 1″ off center and crooked, the bills are pinched between the plastic sleeve with no way to center them. Called customer service and I can return them for replacements, sounds like this is a bigger problem then they think and properly centered bill sets might be rare.
This set is currently on backorder status today Tuesday, August 6.
