Designed for young collectors, the product features an uncirculated $2 Federal Reserve note with a serial number beginning with "2019." The note will be from the Federal Reserve Bank in New York (B), Atlanta (F), or San Francisco (L).

Priced at $9.95, the note is presented in an attractive space-themed folder and protected by a clear, acid-free polymer sleeve.

Ordering and Limits

The BEP collaborated with the United States Mint and its money products are now sold through the Mint’s e-commerce system. When released, place orders for this newest release from the Premium Currency Products section of the Mint’s website at:

https://catalog.usmint.gov/currency/premium-products/

The product’s limit is 23,000 with the mintage of the note set 1,000 higher at 24,000. In addition, there will be an initial household order limit of 50. When the household ordering limit it lifted — usually after the first 24 hours, product pricing will be discounted to $8.50 each when buying 50 or more.

About the BEP

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s main mission is to develop and produce United States banknotes. The agency prints billions of Federal Reserve Notes each year for delivery to the Federal Reserve System. These notes are produced at facilities in Washington, DC, and Fort Worth, TX.

Now that the BEP has switched to using the Mint’s private vendor company & the Mint’s website for their product sales, customer service & fulfillment center warehouse in Memphis for shipping & handling, younger customers that the Mint is trying to attract with products like this have to pay $4.95 for S&H on this… Read more »
