Just checked out the auction sit for these beauty’s. Pictures / description and perspective sale price. This is gonna be a big money auction. I would not pass the pre screen to bid lol each wining bid has the option to fly to California and pick up the coin or coins directly from the seller or have them delivered via armed guard to their business lol. These historical gems are truly for the high level collector. Still love to appreciate them by picture. Cant wait to see what they go for.

Old Collector – This is an area of history I will definitely need to research. These fantastic historical coins are a true testament to what they stand for…”Liberty”. Glad the owners kept all their gold, freedom is not complacency…it’s the right to say no…the right to private ownership of all. The government works for the people not the other way around.

Old Collector – “banned all private gold” – any government that thinks they can take what is mine, not gonna happen. I would have been one of those that kept their gold…for my children, their right, not a government.

History of coins fascinates me. They are more than objects of gold and silver.

Old Collector – Shared custody of such rare pieces of history lol I will only be able to study them by picture…these coins are so out of my league.

Seth – You are very lucky to have held such an amazing piece of history. Photos do to not compare to having one in your hands…I’m glad you did not run lol not a good idea in Texas lol

It will be time for an American investor to step up financially to ensure these treasures / pieces of American history remain on American soil. We will see who shows up to own them.

In 1990 I was at Heritage Galleries in Dallas where Steve Ivy & Jim Halperin & I had a meeting & I got to hold one of President Theodore Roosevelt’s personal specimens of the 1907 High Relief Saint-Gaudens $20 double eagle gold coins being offered by Heritage for $250,000. His heirs finally decided they were tired of looking at it & would rather have current fiat FRN banknotes instead! It was amazing to see & hold & it hadn’t been slabbed yet so I got to hold it by the edges & have a “numismatic orgasm”! LOL

Most of these $20 gold Saint-Gaudens coins were in European bank vaults after most gold ownership was outlawed in the USA in 1933. Heritage Rare Coin & Auction Company of Dallas, Texas has been repatriating them mostly from vaults in Switzerland & Germany since the 1980s. Who knows how many are still in vaults of banks & private vaults in Europe still. The mintages on most of these gold coins was high as they were meant for circulation & were common from 1907-1932 in the USA.

An Ebay auction of this caliber…cant wait to see how this gold rush pans out lol.

Hope the sellers are profitable, donating monies to some amazing charities.

The coins are out of my league, but will definitely watch the bidding.
