In reply to coinstar. How many sets do you want at 20 bucks a pop? Go to any coin show and you'll have a good chance of finding some. Just was at a coin show and a dealer had about 10 and was selling them for $20. Maybe in another 4 years they'll be $10?

coin star & chris williams – the cent you are talking about is the lowest mintage zinc cent cents 1982, the lowest mintage copper cent, at 784,614 mintage. is 2009 p & d copper satin finish, from the 2009 mint state set, is the lowest copper cent *, cents the 1909 s vdb Lincoln*copper cent. that y* i* said the nickel not to far back. maybe i* sea not the same as u’,s . this should go up, but u don’t have to grade 1 or all rightaway. the first strike is bs right now acording t\o our *us*mint*.

why grade us*mint sets , unless you want all coins you own graded, or flip. the mint state & proof sets from 1950 to 2000, those are the sets to grade now, & quite a few are cheaper than oridgeinal mint prices right now, like $5 & $8, look at a price guide for each coin in set, from grades 65 to 70, & if you see a cherry or three in the set, get them graded. a lot of those cherry coins go for a god peace of change in 68,69,70. new mint sets from our u*s mint*, just wait, there’s really no need to hurry. & some time down the road, look at price guide for graded coins, to sea how many are graded 70, 69,68,67, & how much they are going for. then cherry pick coins from those sets, that are going for good $$$, & send out to grade. i* know this 2017 set is is not the same as the ones i just mention, but it go’s the same. money in the bank. buy the cheap sets & sit on them or cherry pick ones that sell for good money, to be graded. unless theirs some wild $$$$$ going on with some modern coins, get them graded & flip for a good profit, or don’t grade until ready because you know it’s worth good coin. money in the bank.

Looking at the prices on ebay it is hard to believe how cheaply the SP70 sets are selling for. $275 for a graded set of SP70. It would cost me $262 to have ten coins graded when you count purchasing the set, grading fees,invoice fee, shipping fee, ebay fee. I added very carefully and came up with a solid $26 as the cost for me. Here’s the thing though: If I sent 10 coins in they probably are not ALL going to be perfect 70’s! So I may save $13 but most likely I won’t since I won’t get perfect scores on all of them.
In my particular case, I just sent in the lens with the $1, 50,10, 5, 1c and didn’t bother with the quarters. I know that people can send in bulk submissions and get the grading cost per coin cut from $16 per coin down to $7 per coin for the ones that grade under 70, but you have to have 100 of each type coin so that would be $3,000 just for the coins. Plus, there’s no price break on the coins that grade 70 so it would cost a fortune to do a bulk submission and very little return on the investment money.
The small guys can’t make any money and it looks like the big guys won’t be making much either. I’m betting this 2017 enhanced Uncirculated sets is breaking a lot of backs and making a lot of people drop out of the flipping game.
Myself, I just bought 5 sets. I did figure that I would sell 2 sets and make some money but it looks like that won’t be happening any time soon. I was reading where at one of the shows the dealers were buying 500 sets at a time and my math tells me that is around $15,000. I bet they are as loose as a goose right now – hahaha!
