Gary, the ‘atrocities” you refer to are a drop in the bucket to what has been done to the native Americans. We provided blankets with small pox, lied & broke treaties, killed many tribes all the way, women, children, etc. stole land, genocide was practiced –> see Trail of Tears. If POTUS had some smarts, he would redirect the pipeline & make some new friends on the other side. But, I digress…unfortunately that is not to be. The Earth is one & only & the love of $$ to pull out resources & kill the source of all life is short sided, fracking, new rules allowing discharge by miners & others into waterways w/o concern of its lead, arsenic, or worse is a crime. The coin (what!) is not a great design prior year shave been real nice…..

Elisabeth, please read up on the massive atrocities the indians did to women and children. The history of the world is one of conflict between civilizations. The indians were the losers in this land of North America. Not everyone gets a trophy.
