Hi ,
Looking at the Effigy Mounds National Mounment Quarter, I thought it would be nice to know more about what this place is.
So I Googled it and found 200 beautiful pictures. This place is located in the extreme North Easr corner of Iowa on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near a little wide spot in the road called Prairie dunChien Iowa, North of Clinton Iowa.
Their have been "digs on the site over the years to learn more about who were the people who lived in this area long long ago.

You can see that this area has flood plains for the Mississippi River and many other smaller rivers that drain the area.
So if you like knowing about the History behind our coins I encourage you to take sometime and Google this site "effigy mounds in iowa ".
It is a nice treat.
