With rising precious metals prices this year on all bullion, it is not surprising to see such very low sales from the Mint to its 13 worldwide bullion coin Authorized Purchasers for its silver, gold & platinum bullion version coins. There are reports that as silver went over $20 recently, many collectors & investors were selling the 1-oz ASE bullion $1 coins they bought years ago in the $7 to $10 range to book big profits. They were even selling them back to the APs like APMEX & Dillon Gage which are required by the Mint's AP program to provide a two-way buy & sell situation. That is one reason sales of those $1 silver bullion coins have been so very low recently. As I have guessed & posted before many times here, I just don't think this will be another record year for the ASE bullion coins. The market is very oversaturated with these common coins.

Happy bullion coin investing!
