You are probably right about the Harpers Ferry 5-oz coin situation. The APs have to order a minimum amount each order as stated, so there may have been an over one month delay in production of the HF 5-oz coins since they last ordered any. Next weeks figures will be interesting to see on these coins for sure!

Mike Unser-

Thanks for correcting your sales figures from the original version of this article & for the updated info.

Mike Unser,

Seth Riesling,

Thank you Mike for this information.
Since the first two sold out (long ago) that would explain why no sales to the APs. As it also seems that Harpers might not have been available to the APs either as sales have been at (34,200) since at least 6/16/16. One should not assume but the fact the article states, in part, "in the meantime the mint has inventories of Harpers Ferry for sale." My "guess" is that Harpers was not available and the APs wanted some 5 oz before the end of August so the mint recently struck more. Next weeks report might tell us if, in fact, there has been a demand by the APs that the mint did not satisfy.

Your sales figures appear correct for Cumberland Gap (75,000), Harpers Ferry (34,200) and Shawnee(105,000).
Thanks again for this information.

Thanks for the update info!

In the second to last paragraph, you have the Harpers Ferry & Cumberland Gap 5-oz coin sales figures transposed.

The Mint's 13 worldwide bullion coin APs haven't purchased a single 5-oz silver bullion coin in almost 2 months now even though the Mint has offered them daily & the new one isn't available for another month! What is up with the lack of interest in the 5-oz bullion version coins?
