The $200 gold coin doesn’t ship till my birthday month in September! I ordered the non-colorized $20 for $20 coins & coin & stamp sets on May 9 through the Mint Master’s Club for me & my four nephews. Great coin program for StarTrek™ fans of all ages. Congrats to the RCM for getting the licensing on these before another Mint did!
Live long & prosper collectors!

It is interesting to note that none of the 11 different coins have the inscription “Star Trek™” on them! For the 50th anniversary they should at least have the TV series name on them.

@Seth Riesling Maybe and just totally guessing, they might not be able to just use the “Star Trek” inscription because it has now become part of subsequent shows like “Star Trek: The Next Generation” , etc. with different actors and they’ve renamed the original Star Trek to “Star Trek: The Original Series” and that might have been too long to fit. … I liked the original “Star Trek” TV series and some of the movies like “The Wrath of Khan” …….. I hear CBS is going to make a new TV series of Star Trek to be shown starting 2017… Read more »

maybe

but it just kind of seems weird where we use the men that were involved in the series…..and all that

but the americans aren’t…

Susan

I forgot to add:

Not to mention movies with the “Star Trek” name included as part of the title … …. I too would have liked to have seen a “Star Trek” on the coins though … I wonder what name/title will be on the OGP packaging …

Tinto

That silver colored coin with the Enterprise orbiting a planet would have looked better IMO in a 2 oz. coin ….

Seth Riesling

Tinto – The packaging outer boxes for all 11 coins have the name “Star Trek™” on them. Even two of the Canada Post stamps have the name of the tv & movie franchise. All rights to everything about Star Trek™ since its 1966 tv debut is still owned by CBS television network & if you look closely the trademark & copyright info is inscribed on each coin as per international trademark & copyright protection laws & treaties. I think it would have cost more in licensing fees if they inscribed the name on each coin. Of course, the characters names… Read more »

That is because actors William Shatner (Captain Kirk) & James Doohan (Scotty) were born in Canada.

when you look closer…..it’s not just those two…..it’s the klingon guy……who was canadian born….

Susan

susan

thank you for saying why…

Susan

wish that i could get a coin too…but just out of my price range

Louis

Great series. I am not a master’s club member and ordered the $20 color and $20 for $20 on Friday and they already shipped! I also got the stamps already. Thinking about the 3 coin subscription for the other 1 oz color. It’s $85 every 3 months, which is not so bad.

susan

sounds good

wish i could do that

i sent a post card to someone i know in the US….

the two that are worth 5 each and are holograms…..

and the pamphlet…..

so that she can order some…….lol…..

she’s a big star trek fan….

i told her to send me theirs when they get them……..so…

Louis- It sure is a nice 11-coin & 3-stamp series with something for every taste & budget. My initial order shipped yesterday & they will arrive on Thursday by Fed Ex. Can’t wait to see them in person! Then I will probably order some more of the coin & stamp sets as gifts for my 4 nephews & to have on hand as Holiday gifts. Great artwork on the $20 for $20 folder & the coin & stamp foldout too makes a really nice presentation for sure. Susan – You are lucky that in Canada the Canada Post sells some… Read more »

Received my 5 $20 for $20 Star Trek ™ silver coins & 5 of the Star Trek ™ coin & stamp tri-fold sets today. Fantastic, beautiful items ! Congrats to the RCM on a job well done. Great graphics artwork on both products packaging too.

I just got one but all these colored coins suck, their extremely dark, very little details and over priced. I got the one with the stamp collection I’m not too enthralled with the coin as I am with the stamps, luckily it comes in a plastic packaging. Its nice that it’s endorsed by CBS but other than that there’s no proof of silver (if at all used) on this seems kind of a let down at $40.

susan

i am waiting for someone to send me the american stamps……and i find them not even wanting them…there is no character to them at all, they seem so very dark. these coins i only have one, but i do like it….. that’s all that i can afford at the moment but i would never say our coins are dark…. the other stuff coming up from the US…however and even she said that she finds ours by far more interesting… i sent her a two-stamp set…and then the catalogue for her to order more… not sure if she did or not…but… Read more »

I love all of your coins and stamps. You have done a wonderful job representing major character rolls and moments we all remember. They are great tributes to the concept Gene Roddenberry and the actors tried to portray. GREAT JOB!!!!! P.S. I do not know if you are aware that in the USA a company called the New England Mint is also making a star trek 50th anniversary half dollar legal tender coin. Their coin is very bad. The picture quality is poor and only has the enterprise with 50 written over the delta next to it. Also most insulting… Read more »
