Apparently, the only important cancer to rate a commemorative coin is breast cancer, a cancer that has an 85% survival rate. What about all the other cancers, most of which have much lower survival rates? Have you even considered the fact that there are many people suffering from many types of cancer? This is a slap in the face to them.

What about all the other equally deserving cancers ? This is discriminatory and exclusive and an insult to ALL those that suffer from ALL cancers. Stop the “Pinkwashing”!

Glad this legislation finally passed after a few tries in previous years. This is a great cause & coin program to support IMHO.
Pink, rose & green gold is most associated with the Black Hills gold jewelry of South Dakota. The Krugerrand gold bullion coins of South Africa going back to the 1960s have more copper in them & therefore look darker than other Mint’s gold bullion coins.
Yesterday, the Royal Canadian Mint issued the new 2016 $3 Queen Elizabeth rose siver coin with rose gold plating on the rose design. The species of the flower was named after Queen Elizabeth soon after she became Queen in 1952.
