CoinNews readers - Just FYI

For those of you who have asked in the past about the U.S. Mint's silver, gold & platinum bullion version coin official "Authorized Purchasers" (AP), the following is an official list from the Mint's Disclosure Officer as of February 18, 2016. If you are not purchasing the bullion version silver, gold & platinum American Eagle coins & 5-oz ATB bullion version silver coins or bullion version American Buffalo gold coins from these companies, then you are purchasing from a "middleman" & are therefore probably paying a higher price/premium for those coins. The list includes a worldwide total of only 13 dealers as follows:

A-Mark Precious Metals (California)
APMEX (Oklahoma)
Coins 'N Things Inc. (Massachusetts)
Dillon Gage Inc. (Texas)
Fidelitrade Inc. (Delaware)
Jack Hunt Coin Broker Inc. (New York)
Manfra, Tordella & Brookes (New York)
The Gold Center (Illinois)
Scotia Mocatta (New York)
Commerzbank International (Luxembourg)
Deutsche Bank A.G. (Germany)
Bayerische Landesbank (Germany)
Tanaka Kinkinzoku Kogyo K.K. (Japan)

If you are not purchasing from these 13 official U.S. Mint Authorized Purchasers of the U.S. Mint's bullion version coins not sold directly to the public, you are not dealing with the primary officially-registered & approved dealers for these silver, gold & platinum bullion coin products offered only to them directly from the U.S. Mint.
