NumisDudeTX - that is very disappointing to hear. He is a former Marine Officer and for that reason a lone I had high hopes for some positive change and focused direction. From my bystander perspective, there just doesn't seem to be much ownership, and certainly very little presence.

I respected Mr. Peterson because he was considerably involved and seemed to have a far more reaching level of engagement and presence, whom I met outside of the mint on 27 March 2014 when the BHoFs sold out at the HQ kiosk.., very affable, honest, and easy to talk to.

The year, while very promising for the mint, has gotten off to a very questionable start. Still no word as to why the AtB Quarter sets were yanked. Time for some leadership at the mint.

Tinto -

As Johnny Carson's sidekick Ed McMahon used to say to Johnny's comments, "Yes, you are right Sir!" Your comments are right on point Tinto. The new U.S. Mint Principal Deputy Director (I nicknamed him "Deputy Dawg") is from the U.S. government's Small Business Administration & I think he brought his small mind with him when he transferred to the U.S. Mint from what I hear on the numismatic grapevine! What a mess he is creating in an already rudderless ship called the U.S.S. Mint cargo ship full of precious booty. He seems to be not only AWOL but clueless literally. He is not a numismatist either. How sad is that!?
Good luck in your collecting Tinto!
