I attended the FUN (Florida United Numismatists) coin show/convention in Florida many times when it used to be held in Orlando, Florida. It is a large numismatic event and sets the tone for the new year numismatic marketplace. Since the biggest foreign coin show in the USA is being held on the very same days (Jan. 7-10) in New York City at the world-famous Waldorf-Astoria Hotel (at a special room rate for dealers & attendees of $289 per night! & now owned by a communist People's Republic of China corporation) most foreign coin products will be there in N.Y. City. But, there are coin dealers at the FUN show that specialize in or stock some basic foreign coins, including new ones. Stack's Bowers auction company is holding the official auction at the NYINC (New York International Numismatic Convention) including both a catalog auction & an internet-only coin auction of only foreign numismatic items. You may want to contact the auction company or check out their website if you are interested in only foreign coins, tokens, medallions & paper money. You can Google their company name for their contact information. Good luck in your search Joe!

It is interesting that the U.S. Mint's bullion coin Authorized Purchasers have not bought a single gold bullion coin in the new year 2016 (or even the last 2 weeks almost). The Mint still offers them the 2015 American Gold Eagle $25 half-ounce gold bullion coin & the 2015 American Gold Buffalo $50 one-ounce gold bullion coins, but there is no demand for them this year obviously! The Mint's AP's will have to purchase these 2015 gold bullion coins at some point since the Mint doesn't melt them down. The Mint requires the AP's to purchase them at some point on an allotted ratio basis when the 2016 gold bullion coins are offered on January 11. I bet the AP's hate having to buy "old" 2015-dated gold bullion coins, but that is the way the program works. Also the first major coin show of the new year (the FUN coin show in Tampa, Florida) runs January 7-10 so no dealers there at that major coin show will have any new 2016-dated gold or silver U.S. Mint bullion coins to offer the thousands of collectors & investors who attend that very popular major coin show. The U.S. Mint & it's sister bureau the BEP are actually sharing a booth at this major international numismatic show/convention with nothing new to offer! Unless you are dying to purchase a 2016 Birth gift set or 2016 Happy Birthday gift set. What a mess & terrible planning on their part!
