Just a small correction in the American Eagle gold bullion version coins 2015 year sales is a 52.8% increase, not a decrease as your blog article states. Anyway, the past 3 years as your figures show have been a huge debacle for investors who bought silver, gold, palladium or platinum precious metals in ingot/bar or rounds form. That is just one more reason to stick to classic (old) U.S. Mint coins & modern U.S. Mint precious metal legal tender numismatic version coins which have much lower mintages. Gold in particular is no longer a hedge against inflation! Gold hit its first record high in 1980 at about $850 per ounce & in 35 years has only increased about $210 per ounce - a horrible investment! Real estate is where the money is for investments IMHO as Mrs. Rhonda (Kay) Unser knows well, especially near the Texas Hill Country/Loop 1604 area. I love shopping trips from Austin to the La Cantera stores in beautiful San Antonio. But most of my extra money goes towards my lifetime numismatic hobby/industry/science & i wish you all a happy & better precious metals investment new year 2016 (5776).
Happy Collecting everyone!
