Watch the spot prices of gold, then platinum, then in a lessor degree - silver.

Now they stopped the Eisenhowers (both) - so they can mint 50,000 Kennedys
(both).

Be interesting if the Trumans and Eisenhowers are sold out right now - but I sincerely wonder about that because the McKinleys have been for sale since Nov. of 2013 - that's a long time.

Gary
They really got BURNED for 30 MILLION in platinum with the 2007 dual set - so I agree with your guess - we will see.

But if they pull Truman and cap the rest the Eisenhowers and Kennnedys will BOOM!

Who knows - I ain't in charge - you place your bets and maybe you'll win...

The "Jack" in Gold price may be connected to unavailability today of Bess Truman issues....suspicious since both are listed. Mint has that ability to cut any issue off at any time. I try to get those issues I collect as soon as possible because like the Lottery saying..."hey...you never know".

They struck the coins since 2013 from McKinley to FDR at what they expected to sell - and most are still selling to that EXPECTATION - is my humble GUESSTIMATE.

You never know what the future will bring until the time passes and you find out for sure.

All this was explained in the 2008 book by Eric Jordan - called "Modern Commemorative Coins" - I believe. His second book on the "Top 50 Modern Coins" is still another cheap way to get a coin collectors low-key bible.

He mentioned that eventually (read 2013 to now) they would strike to their expectations - which are very low. My cheap cheat sheet on these includes the overall (the public mob) rating on the presidents which may or may not pass off to the wives - but who knows, right?
1- Lincoln
2- FDR (that's one I was right on!) WOW!
3- Washington
4- Jefferson (great coin but highly minted too)
5- Teddy Roosevelt
6- Wilson's (two wives and four coins)
7- Truman
8- Jackson (another great coin)
8- Eisenhower (tie in popularity)
10- Polk (a sleeper but 8,641 coins total - too many)

The odd ball will be Kennedy - but they will mint a ton - IMVHO
Buy only after you really study the BIG picture.

Ordered Mamie today just in case. With Anna E. Roosevelt and Bess Truman acting squirrelly on the website.

Anybody know what kind of games are being played? Has the mintage been lowered on the FS gold, or does the mint plan to bring them back out again later in the year when the price of gold is higher?
