My good fortune is sporadic, but I read Jim’s advice on about.com concerning the ’14 C and C Set. I placed my order Dec. 13. Immediately came up B/O, but not out of stock. By the end of Jan. I caved and spent $44. for a set on eBay. How dejected I felt. Ironically, the same week the US Mint processed my order, shipping to follow ! I sent the eBay set back for a refund stating the honest reason. Got mine a week later from the Mint. Don’t give up hope, the Mint works in mysterious ways.

My five sets were sent, two days ago, on a slow boat to China! 🙂 Estimated delivery, February 11, 2015. I’ll let you know how they look. 🙂

Rat bastards! Just when I think I’ve got them figured out, they surprise me, again! Why do they even accept an order, when the max has been hit? Why not just inform us that if one becomes available through a cancellation, a notice will be sent to you to order or not. But, having us dangle with no information, sucks!

I also have my order as ” back order.” I called the Mint to ask about it & I’m sorry to let some of u know that “back order” does not mean u will get ur order latter. It was put as “back order” in case some orders would be returned & give the ones who ordered late a second “chance” to get a set from the Mint. They told me that they really don’t expect any orders returned.

I lucked out when the Mint opened up sales briefly before they set the limit to 5 sets. I ordered 99 sets and received them late December. Sold 72 of the sets on Ebay for a total $3,500.00 and still have 27 sets left.
