At best they are tokens better found in a box of cereal or cracker jacks.
The only way they accomplish a perceived demand is by keeping the mintage ultra-low. Look at the sales date for all of the worlds mints producing these tokens. With this one at least you can find them in the bottom of the drawer at night after the novelty wares off.

I hope the US Mint never goes down the novelty item path.
