all I care about is the coin a 69 or 70 first release means nothing to me.the problem I have is buying online. were I live I have no coin dealers no were close. I have been building a graded kennedy set for years how can a grading service give a coin with milk spots a 69 grade?. I wont mention the company but I don't buy annex the only slab I buy is probably considered the best by most?. isn't a milk spot like realy bad for any coin? I don't understand how it could get a 69 grade????
I will say the sellers have been very good about replacing the coins to my satisfaction.

bobby -
The Mint has on occasion sold "Waffled" or cancelled coins and even cancelled dies. The process is called Waffling because the coin looks like a waffle or a potato chip when done and is not recognizable. The US Mint was selling these for awhile with the state quarter program but have since stopped offering them. I expect your best bet would be a search on eBay. It is Unfair to the average collector that those with large orders can cut deals for Special favors on Coins and Grader Labeling (i.e. the HOF baseball w/player coin labels)!

what the mint does that you and I cant is on AAN TV they have cancelled kennedys fron this set that by law should have been destroid as a collector I want one. I bought my sets I have a budget I could have bought a 5 coin set on tv for 450 bucks to get the cancelled $75 dollar coin. I just want to be treated the same as the people that spend big bucks isn't that why they had a limit?.so if the big boys wanted more sets they have to buy then from us.

I want that cancelled coin anyone have one?

Eddie -
It is possible that a collector would want more than 5 sets. I am one of them.
Don't discount the service that dealers do. They are not all greedy, money grubbing slimy scrooges (a few yes).
I am both a collector and a small dealer. I am proud to provide at a fair price a product that is made in the USA from ore that is mined in the USA. US minted coins are one of the few products (packaging excluded) that are still proudly made in the USA!
