This is about the West Virginia coin. No such place in any history books about a John Brown Fort. There was no West Virginia at the time John Brown took over the Harpers Ferry Arsenal. So this is all false and who ever came up with design does not know their history. This coin is no doubt some PC attempt to change history.

I really like seeing the everyday people on the obverse of any coin be it the workers carving Mount Rushmore, the Father and son on great sand dunes, or the backpacker enjoying Shenandoah... I love seeing citizens on coins please keep them coming. I think its what Rockefeller would have wanted. after all he gave us many of these beautiful parks. And he too was only a citizen.

Like someone said on the 2015 page... this set of quarters is AMAZING. I agree that it will go down in history as one of the most beautiful sets of coins in history. The incredible part is the feeling of DEPTH and DIMENSIONALITY of some of them. I'm not sure even the judges understand this. I think they definitely need to choose the designs that have a lot going on in them and show a lot of depth. My choices would be:
Shawnee - 4, and maybe 6 or7
Cumberland Gap - 3! It would look incredible in metal
Harper's Ferry - 6
Theodore Roosevelt - 1
Fort Moultrie - 7!
A general about the whole series...IMHO they have done enough birds for awhile.
