Anyone know how often the mint changes its coin dies. OR do they use the same die and sometimes clean them. I'm wondering if I buy a proof set in sept. Will I get a less quality proof coin. (PR 65 or less)

collecting baseball cards and selling them card companies came out with blue, red and gold each limited to different numbers. at that time they sold for a premium. today there all the same price. I started collecting coins and all I care about is the grade and who graded it. other than that early release or whatever the label means nothing to me. but you should collect as you think you should.

there can be good deals in quality cards/coins by off brand grading services. that collectors don't look at twice. I am new to coins and have bought a few 70s that a better service regarded 68. I would have had to pay an extra zero for that same coin cost me 30 more bucks.

If the sales if 2014 clad sets are 29,000 short on ordered sets on hand, The US Mint may want to ramp up available future offerings ( dual date gold halves & 4 coin sets by 75-100%. Just my estimate on possible sales.

I hope I can order one 4 coin set in the fall, If the phones & Mint website aren't over run

Thanks for the forum

This set will be the biggest seller with its four 90% Kennedy halves featuring varying finishes and strikes from four different U.S. Mint facilities.
Can't wait to get one of these sets hope they do the household limit gives us small coin collectors a chance.
