Next week the United States Mint will introduce the last products of the year. In this holiday-time mix are Edith Wilson First Spouse Gold Coins, a First Spouse Bronze Medal Set, Roosevelt’s Coin and Chronicles Set, and another Wilson 1$ Coin & Medal Set.
Starting Monday, Dec. 16, the U.S. Mint will launch the Edith Wilson First Spouse Gold Coins in proof and uncirculated qualities. These products feature one-half ounce of 24 karat gold, so their initial prices will be $815 for the proof, see this Mint page, and $795.00 for the uncirculated, see this Mint page. As with all gold coins, their cost could change weekly.
Also debuting on Monday is the 2013 First Spouse Bronze Medal Set for $16.95. Included within the five-medal set are each of the 2013 First Spouse Bronze Medal Set, measuring 1-5/16-inch in diameter, and bearing the likenesses of Ida McKinley, Edith Roosevelt, Helen Taft, Ellen Wilson and Edith Wilson. Rolling out on Tuesday, Dec. 17, is the collector edition Theodore Roosevelt Coin and Chronicles Set. Priced at $57.95, this handsome coin and medals set has a proof Theodore Roosevelt Presidential $1 Coin, a 1 ½" Bald Eagle Bronze Medal, a 99.9% fine silver Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Medal, and a booklet describing Theodore’s life and legacy. To wrap up the end of the 2013-dated products, the U.S. Mint will begin selling its 2013 Woodrow Wilson Presidential $1 Coin & Edith Wilson Medal Set on Thursday, Dec. 19. It highlights Woodrow’s and Edith’s service from 1913-1921. His first wife Ellen died 1914, and he married Edith in 1915, which is while there are two Wilson sets. An uncirculated Woodrow Wilson Presidential $1 Coin and an Edith Wilson bronze medal comprise the final set which will go for $9.95. When released, the set may be ordered through this Mint page.
