I purchased mine at the older higher prices. As with other collectors, it was more important that I get some than the price being a few dollars higher. The prices didn’t reflect the massive drop in the price of the base metal price however.

bubba – since the price of silver dropped pretty drastically from when they issued these 5 oz coins – it is only fair the price drop for them as well. Granted the early buyers are hit. That said – why should they have just quit selling them? They probably had a few hundred left why not sell them?

Collectors generally don’t wait to buy stuff, so the collectors get screwed. However, stuff like this could backfire as people are hesitant to buy stuff and the mint will wonder why things aren’t selling. They should have just ended sales of the 5oz. They ended the other 4 -2012’s very early.
