The middle of November will be busy for the United States Mint as it launches the second issue in the 2012 First Spouse Gold Coins series and the last of the 2012 Presidential $1 Coins.
Beginning Thursday, November 15, the 2012 Frances Cleveland (First Term) First Spouse Gold Coins in proof and uncirculated qualities will go on sale. Their prices will be determined the day prior to their release since each coin is composed of one-half ounce of .9999 fine gold, and the U.S. Mint pricing policy for coins made of the precious metal requires an evaluation of prices every Wednesday.
Frances Cleveland (First Term) First Spouse Gold Coins are the second of four new designs slated for this year. The U.S. Mint dedicates two separate online product pages for orders, one for the proof strike and another for the uncirculated version.
Also starting Thursday, November 15, collectors may buy 2012 Grover Cleveland (Second Term) Presidential $1 Coins in 25-coin rolls, 100-coin bags, and also boxes of 250-coins and 500-coins. Choices are coins minted in Philadelphia or Denver. These products honor Grover Cleveland in his second term, as the 24th President of the United States.
Similar to earlier 2012 issues in this series, Cleveland dollars will not enter circulation but instead are offered directly from the U.S. Mint for collectors. All of the Cleveland coin options for his second term will be available on the U.S. Mint product page, located here.
