Stack’s Bower Galleries will present nearly 10,000 coin and currency lots this November 13-17 at the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Baltimore Expo.
Set to cross the auction block are more than 4,000 lots of U.S. coins and exonumia, almost 1,100 lots of U.S. currency and over 2,900 lots of world coins and world currency.
Coin and currency lots featured include selections from the famed Cardinal Collection, The Ted L. Craige Collection, The John "Jack" Royse Collection and The Rob Retz Family Collection.
Stack’s Bower Galleries will also present the famous 1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony NE sixpence.
The sixpence is an extremely rare coin that was discovered in a Long Island potato field and has resultantly been dubbed America’s most valuable ‘found’ coin.

Napolitano added that the headlining event is the Rarities Night Auction and the Early American Coin session in cooperation with The Colonial Coin Collectors Club. The Colonial Coin Collectors Club (ColonialCoins.org) is a non-profit organization that seeks to increase the public’s knowledge about colonial numismatics and to promote the study of colonial coins. C4 will also hold its annual convention at the Baltimore Expo.
