Starting demand for the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park Quarters Three-Coin Set was stronger than six of the last seven sets released, according to the latest U.S. Mint sales figures.
Between its release on September 4, 2012 and through to September 10, 2012, coin collectors ordered a total of 11,074.

Each quarters three-coin set includes three collectible quarters held within a display card — a proof from San Francisco, an uncirculated from Philadelphia and an uncirculated from Denver.
At $9.95, this year’s sets are priced $5 less than past offerings, and the cards depict colorful scenery of the national park or national site honored. Sets between 2010 and 2011 cost $14.95, and the three coins were held within a U.S. Mint branded black and white card.
Introduced in 2010 to support of the America the Beautiful Quarters® program, the United States Mint continues to sell every one it has released.
