The reverse design feature of this coin is a little bit similar to that of Lithuanian championship coin(2011), I think. But taken as a whole, it looks so cool.

The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is an independent, non-profit educational institution so your money wouldn’t be going to professional sports (whatever that means) or to some retirement home for old baseball players. Got something better for 2015, 2016, etc.? Write to your Senator and get a bill started to make it happen.

potentially $50 per set going to professional sports. There are other historical events which can be commemorated then pro sports. No sale here.

I don’t have a lot of interest in the military but we’ve had several commemoratives on that subject lately. Plus the I think this will be an interesting coin with it’s different shape unless the mint screws it up and doesn’t put a baseball on the obverse. I can see this coin having an interest outside the regular collecting public, both because of it’s subject and it’s shape.

Like I said about the suggested football coins: Lame. I love baseball, but I want to keep my hobbies separate. Plus, I know there are a lot of collectors with no interest in the sport.

That’s about the only good thing he’s ever signed into law. he (intentionally lower case) must have thought it meant the govt. would take over the baseball industry and levy a tax on home runs on anyone making over 250k a year.
