quote: "Designs for the commemorative coins would be emblematic of the game of professional football"

I would like to refer you all to my OJ Simpson Coin post in the Baseball Hall of Fame thread.

http://www.coinnews.net/2012/07/13/national-baseball-hall-of-fame-commemorative-coins/

"The O.J. Simpson coin collection will be a hoot! #32 with a Buffalo on the first, A Hertz rent-a-car coin with OJ leaping over a gate, a NBC commentator on another and a White SUV on the final one."

well, it got me to thinking again (detects future groans lol)

concussions and stick'em
lawsuits and strikes
night club incidents hahahaha
what else is emblematic?

might as well make some nike and mcdonald coins

2 cent, all I have. To purchase coins to support a professional sport is ludicrous. In buying the three coins $50 dollars goes to help a professional sport which rips off the fans at the stadiums, gets cities to build facilities for them and has unfair exemptions is not right. It is like giving millions in taxpayer subsidies and providing loopholes to a corporation that makes $40 billion a year. What for? They pull in enough to cash to build their own shrine.
