New Acadia quarters in rolls, bags and the three-coin set were among favored collector choices last week, U.S. Mint coin sales show. Each of the new products appeared in the top ten list of weekly sales.
Earning the number one spot were two-roll sets containing 80 circulation quality Acadia quarters — 40 from Denver’s Mint and 40 from Philadelphia’s Mint. Collectors ordered 15,530 in one week. Sales leader positions eight and nine were taken by 100-coin bags. Orders were 2,177 for bags from Philadelphia and 2,163 for bags from Denver.
Combined, a total of 1,676,400 Acadia quarters moved. This marks a drop of 5.2% from the previous roll and bag products containing Chaco Culture Quarters. For comparisons across all the quarter releases since 2010, click here to jump to the bottom of this article for summaries.
Also debuting last week was the Acadia Quarters Three-Coin Set. Containing two uncirculated Acadia quarters and one proof, it sales reached 10,701 to make it the fourth best numismatic seller. The tally was up a modest 35 from previous set’s debut. 2012-dated Three-Coin Sets are $5 less than prior year prices and they offer better imaginary with photographic scenes of the national park or national site honored. Both changes have helped new sales, although the sets have always enjoyed a faithful following with some collectors. All remain available with the latest sales figures for each offered in the grid closer to the bottom of the page.
Sales slowed for the recently released San Francisco produced 2012 Silver Proof Set and American Silver Eagle Two-Coin Proof Set, but they remain among the top products sought by collectors. Keeping the same order as last week but moving one spot down, they hold best-selling slots two and three.

Overall, 37 U.S. Mint products outperformed their prior weekly sales compared to 82 in last week’s report, but that report also showed the best weekly improvement since December 5, 2011.
