It shows the wisdom of being cautious when buying “instant collectibles”. It bugs the heck out of me that the BEP is doing nothing more than selecting bills whose serial number start with the current year. That’s 10,000 for each possible suffix and each possible Fed district which isn’t exactly rare. Maybe I’m being cynical but IMHO it’s only a couple of notches above those gold-plated state quarters and “Lincoln facing Kennedy” cents advertised on shopping channels. We all know just how great an investment they are …
