2012 Native American Dollars, Quarters Set, and $1 Proof Set in 4th Week of April

The fourth week of April wraps up with two annual sets and new dollars from the United States Mint. Numismatic product releases include the Presidential $1 Coin Proof Set, the America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Set, and rolls and boxes of the Native American Dollars.

America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Set, rolls and boxes of the Native American Dollars, and the Presidential $1 Coin Proof Set go on sale during the final week of April

Both sets go on sale Tuesday, April 24. The 2012 Presidential $1 Proof Set is in its sixth year of issue. Four dollars in proof condition feature the 21st through the 24th Presidents: Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland (1st term), Benjamin Harrison, and Grover Cleveland (2nd term).

The proof set will cost collectors $18.95, or $1 less than the set for the 2011-dated dollars. The U.S. Mint will accept orders for the Presidential $1 Coin Proof Set through this product page.

The next set on Tuesday to tempt collectors will be the America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Set at $12.95. It contains 10 coins — five new quarters are from Philadelphia while the other five are from Denver. All are minted in uncirculated quality. The five 2012 quarters include the El Yunque National Forest Quarter, Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarter, Acadia National Park Quarter, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Quarter and Denali National Park and Preserve Quarter.

Although the uncirculated quarters set has to compete against a proof quarters set, silver quarters set and soon the circulating quarters set, its new $12.95 price could boost sales since the price of last year’s issue was $21.95. Interested buyers will find the U.S. Mint product page for the America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Set on this U.S. Mint page.

Thursday, April 26, is the launch date for the 2012 Native American Dollars in 25-coin rolls and boxes with either 250-coins or 500-coins. The reverse design in this series has been changing every year since 2009, and in 2012 the design is emblematic of Trade Routes in the 17th Century. The $1 coin features the profile of a Native American wearing a head dress alongside a horse. In the background are three horses running.

Buyers will have the choice of 2012 Native American Dollars in rolls or boxes from Philadelphia or Denver. The dedicated U.S. Mint product page for them is online here.

The United States Mint will place the new products on sale on their respective issue dates beginning at 12:00 noon ET. In addition to using the Mint’s online store, collectors can call in orders at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).
