Silver 1 ounce Pandas 2012 are selling for roughly 60 USD at ICBC banks here. That's pretty steep, considering they appear to float for 40 USD on Ebay.

I walked into the Bank of China in HKG. There are two branches on HKG Island being the 2nd floor in the tower and also the Wing On branch. Also Hang Seng down from Wing On sells Kangaroos, Maple Leaves and some other substandard gold like US coins. All these sales come with a return guarantee of one year and a receipt with your passport number. They are all newly minted and sealed at the mint. Very low premium as in 1-1/2 to 2 percent. Cheapest place in the world to buy gold with confidence.

I 'm now in HKG where I purchased some 2012 gold Panda coins from the Bank of China. I bought 1 oz., 1/2 oz. and 1/4 oz. coins. I noticed there is a minting problem with the 1/4 oz. coin just below the date where the edge coining pushes up the gold for an uneven transition. I returned my 1/4 oz. coins only to find the replacements to have the same problem to a lessor degree. This is due to the size of the coin. The smaller denominations must have the same problem. Can I assume this to be a feature holding the value to the gold content. The larger coins are exquisite. Your comment please.
Thank You,
