The Royal Australian Mint has released five different The Presidents Cup Coins. Shown above from left to right, the collection includes: a $1 Colour Printed Silver Proof Coin, a $25 Gold Proof Coin, a $10 Silver Proof Coin, a $1 Uncirculated Coin and a $1 Silver Proof Coin.

Golfers and collectors alike are racing to own one of these high quality, stunning coins that have almost sold out already through the usual Royal Australian Mint sales channels.

"The Royal Australian Mint will have a stand at The Presidents Cup and it may be the last opportunity for golfing enthusiasts to get their hands on this unique golfing memorabilia so be sure to make the stand one of your first stops when arriving at the course," said Mr Ross MacDiarmid, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Australian Mint.

The product range, produced in conjunction with licensee American Eagle, will suit all budgets from a pocket-sized collectible suiting the amateur golfer and sports memorabilia collector to an exclusive top of the range product perfect for gifting to that aspiring golf pro.

The program features five different coins including a five ounce, silver, selectively gold plated $10 proof coin a size and finish never done by the Mint before and, designed by Mr Wojciech Pietranik, one of the Mint’s most celebrated coin designers.

"The Royal Australian Mint has enjoyed a long running tradition in marking premier sporting events with the production of official coins, which have since become essential mementoes to take away and forever remember the monumental event," said Mr MacDiarmid.

"As Australia’s Federal Government mint and sole producer of Australia’s circulating currency, we take pride in producing high quality products. We are certain that our official coins for The Presidents Cup will score ‘a hole in one’ and be cherished for generations to come."

The Presidents Cup coins will be available from the Royal Australian Mint stand tomorrow, Tuesday 15 November at the Royal Melbourne Golf Course during The Presidents Cup game week.
