The United States Mint released the Hayes Presidential $1 Coin & First Spouse Medal Set for $14.95.

The set features two collector strikes, an uncirculated Rutherford B. Hayes $1 Coin and a Lucy Hayes bronze medal, which bears the same designs as her First Spouse Gold Coins. They two are mounted on a decorative card with the portraits of the President and First Lady.

Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential $1 Coins entered circulation on August 18, 2011. The United States Mint and the National Park Service hosted a launch ceremony the same day at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center at Spiegel Grove in Fremont, Ohio. More recently, the Lucy Hayes Bronze Medal was made available on September 1, 2011.

Hayes’ medal set is the third of four that were scheduled this year. The United States Mint already released the Johnson medal set on May 10 and the Grant medal set on July 7. The next issue will honor James and Lucretia Garfield and is estimated to debut on December 22, 2011.

Each of the four 2010 sets — Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan and Lincoln — remain available from the Mint for a price of $11.95. United States Mint sales figures as of September 19 for those and the previously issued 2011 sets are shown below:
