To collectors of Graded 5 oz coins: Just to let you know that NGC charges an extra $25 to grade these coins. They call them “Oversized Holders”. With the additional weight for shipping these run at about $50 each just to grade. Just to let you know why these will run more to purchase graded!!

It is tough to come up with the money, but they have to get 7 more coins out this year. So there is only so much they can spread them out. The time between 4th and 5th is about a month, so it gets a little better. The first year mintages are 27,000, but future mintages could be higher. Next year they should be 2.5 months apart which is more managable. On Ebay they are selling for above the issue price, so you can always sell them for a premium if you get to feeling too bad about the price. I’m not too worried about the silver price as I think silver will
be going up quite a bit in fall. When silver gets over $60, you’ll be glad you bought them at around $55 an oz.

I finally received the first two of the set from NGC. 1st time I ever had a coin graded. They we’re both graded SP69. Sure do have a lot of money invested by the time you’re done. If anyone is interested, I have these two For Sale. Guaranteed to be from me, in the original boxes. Don’t think I’m gonna buy anymore, can’t afford em.

The coins are gorgeous… I understand the whole 27,000 shananigans and that the only way to get them is directly from the mint, so everybody is paying the same… But I cannot stop filling like a sucker overpaying so much for silver… The premium is about $110 (66%) using today’s spot price. They should adjust prices as with their other products.

The mint doesn’t give a darn about the small time collector. This program has been a disaster since it started and the price’s they are charging for these coins is excessive. Having said that I am trying to purchase these as they are released but it is a challenge.

What happened to the mint promising to stagger the release of each coin so that the average collector can come up with the money to purchase all five coins? $280.00 is a whole month of food for my family. With things the way they are with the economy, I don’t think i’ll be able to buy the remaining two coins. SO UNFAIR!!!!
