US Mint 2011 Product Launches from May 17 to 19

The United States Mint this week will issue several collector products between Tuesday, May 17, and Thursday, May 19, that include very recognizable names.

The products up for release are the Yellowstone National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin, the Proof American Buffalo Gold Coin, and 25-coin rolls of Ulysses S. Grant Presidential $1 Coins.

2010-P Yellowstone National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin – May 17

The 3-inch, 5-ounce, Yellowstone silver uncirculated coin for Wyoming will launch Tuesday, May 17, at an expected price of $279.95. Limited to a mintage of 27,000 with a one order limit per household in place, the .999 fine silver coin is the second of ten America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins expected out this year. The first release which honored Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas sold out Thursday. The United States Mint has enabled a waiting list option for that coin.

The Yellowstone coin is struck for coin collectors and includes a "P" mint mark denoting is production at the Philadelphia Mint.

2011-W Proof American Buffalo Gold Coin – May 19

The 1-ounce, 24-karat Proof American Buffalo Gold Coin will become available on Thursday, May 19. The annual issue marks its sixth year, having been introduced in 2006.

Struck at the West Point Mint and bearing a "W" mint mark, the $50 denominated gold piece will have its price set on Wednesday based on a weekly average of the price of gold. If launched today, the Buffalo coin would be priced at $1,810.00 using a gold range of between $1,500.00 to $1549.99, . The 2011-W Proof American Buffalo Gold Coin would go up or down by $50 should the weekly gold average move outside the range.

2011 Ulysses S. Grant Presidential $1 Coin Rolls – May 19

Also up for release on Thursday are rolls of 2011 Ulysses S. Grant Presidential $1 Coins. The coin is the second of four 2011 Presidential dollars and the 18th issue in the United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin Program.

Buyers can select from Philadelphia or Denver minted rolls for $39.95. Each roll includes 25 dollars featuring a portrait of Ulysses S. Grant on the obverse and a rendition of the Statue of Liberty on the reverse.

All United States Mint collector products are scheduled for 12:00 noon Eastern Time releases. When they are available, ordering will be accepted at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog or at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).
