2010 Boy Scouts Commemorative Coin Sales at 99.7% Maximum

2010 Boy Scouts Centennial Commemorative CoinCommemorative 2010 Boy Scouts of America Centennial Silver Dollars are slowly, but steadily approaching a sell out.

United States Mint coin sales figures released Tuesday evening indicate 348,977 is their latest total, representing 99.7 percent of the maximum authorized mintage.

In terms of numbers, only 1,023 are left for collectors to purchase.

The proof silver dollars picked up another 1,854 in weekly sales. 2,244 were sold during the prior week. Their total is 242,180.

The already sold out uncirculated silver dollars fell 57 as returns, cancellations and standby orders trimmed their sales down to 106,797.

The latest figures have an "as of date" of Sunday, June 6, 2010.

The remaining proof coin is listed for $43.95. Orders may be placed directly online at http://catalog.usmint.gov, or by phone at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).

A surcharge of $10 on the sale of each coin is forwarded to the National Boy Scouts of America Foundation to continue its efforts in hard to reach areas.
