I really wanted a girl scout coin, But I agree why put 2011 and not 2012 for the 100th anniversary. When will these be avaliable?

Obviously, this is someone's good idea, not a US Mint desing. There are a number of committees, US Commission of the Arts, etc. to go through before a design is unveiled.

My question is, why would they have a 2011 date on the centennial coin when the Girl Scouts were founded in 1912? I hope they aren't celebrating the anniversary of Ms. Low meeting Sir Baden-Powell in 1911, when a woman copies a man's idea. Seems to go against the empowerment themes of the Girl Scouts. The Boy Scouts coin has 2010, 100 years after they were founded; why didn't the Girl Scouts at least try to be accurate?

Besides, the Medal of Honor Commemorative Coin will also have a 2011 date, and that passed the Senate last night, making it the second coin for 2011.
