A new international partnership has been established between the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and the New Zealand Mint, one of the first world mints to adopt the .9999 standard for gold coin purity.
Under the agreement PCGS will grade selected examples of the mint’s new commemorative and bullion issues, such as the gold Kiwi bullion coins, and will establish a submission center at the mint in Auckland, New Zealand for the convenience of local collectors and dealers to submit coins for PCGS certification.
"PCGS is pleased to partner with the New Zealand Mint to allow submissions of vintage as well as modern commemorative issues for authentication and grading. This will help expand the use of third-party certification there.

He said the new program will begin in June with the planned opening of a service center for local coin collectors.
McNabb, Willis and other officials of the New Zealand Mint and PCGS met during the recent World Money Fair in Berlin, Germany. The agreement with the New Zealand Mint is similar to the partnership announced earlier between PCGS and the Mint of Poland.

It is wonderful that PCGS is grading coins of New Zealand, however, it is difficult to buy coins from NZ because of restrictions on bidding. If you aren’t a citizen of NZ you are not allowed to buy coins? There are beautiful sets not being collected or graded because of this policy. Perhaps this could be eased to accomodate outside bidders. PayPal is now accepted worldwide.
Wonderful indead, I have a US coin that I would like to have graded by PCGS in accordance with the “agreement” but nobody at the NZ mint has any idea as to how to submit a coin fopr grading. I have been trying to get this done for 2 years now.
