I, with great anticipation, was on the mints web sight 11:30 logged on to place an order for the UHR Double Eagle. At noom I was so excited when the images and web page showed the DE.
Within seconds I clicked my order and waited over 2 hours (2:10) before the order was complete.
The coin community has waited over a hundred years for this opportunity to own a UHR six-nine months is only a blink of an eye.

The coin looks beautiful and unique somewhat. Is it prettier than the American Eagle? I do not know.I am concerned that too large of an issue, say, over 75,000 might affect the collectible value of the coin over time. I also wonder why it was not made in a proof version. I did order the coin and the child in me can hardly wait to see it. I will however let my grandchildren worry about its value, 50 years from now.

Is it the general thought or opinion that the value of the $20 double eagle gold will appreciate considerably over time as a collectible item? Has that been true of previous U.S. Mint gold coin products?
